Hello Colin. You describe a radio which doesn't sound like any Hyundai Radio I've ever worked on. It seems to me the audio unit is 'after-market' and isn't supported by Hyundai Motor America or Hyundai Service Departments. Does it have a "Hyundai Emblem" on it? If it does, you can check with any Hyundai Service/Parts Department & have them check the serial no.
If you don't know the code, and the procedure for entering it, go to the Hyundai dealer for advice.
The procedure is not listed in the Chilton manual. And, the codes are there so if the radio were stolen, the thief would not know how to get it to work.
The crank sensor on this 2000 hyundai accent is located on the leftside of engine near the rear exhaust manifold.this is if your standing on the driverside looking at the engine your left is the side the front is on, hope this helps, heres a picture to help you.
Fuses are GOOD?... Go to http://www.hmaservice.com/ and register vehicle (VIN)... you then have access to info you need to solve this problem (manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, etc.).
Please don't forget to RATE my response.. thanks.
