The ignition switch . where you turn the key at. If it has spark and you have checked everything else . When you turn on the key, the dashlights , are supposed to turn on and then go off as you turn further to start the car. If there are no lights lighting as you turn on the key , you may have a faulty igniton switch.

2003 mitsubishi lancer wont turn on right have to turn twice

I think you mean that the engine does not start first time you crank the starter. A common problem is a coil pack. If you car has a distributor, there's a coil pack inside it that is failing. Might also be the coolant temperature sensor that provides a signal to the engine computer.

Why is there no spark to the plugs on a 2002 miata

When a car cranks normally but does not produce a spark, you back up the way and check for:
A bad crankcase positioning sensor
A bad ignition module
A bad ignition coil
A problem inside the distributor cap (if your car has a distributor cap)
A faulty ignition switch.

I hope that helps.

Car cut off while i was driving.... It started back up and i got about a mile and it cut off again... Havent been able to start it again.... Well once with a jump but it wouldnt stay started. Feels like it...

That is going to be an ignition coil. That is what produces spark. But it could be the knock sensor or the cam sensor also. If they do not give the coil the signal to fire, then the coil will not spark.

My 2003 OZ Rally Mitsubishi Lancer is not starting properly. The engine turns and turns but wont start. especially early in the morning when its colder. later in the day i will start it again and it will...

There is no simple answer, there are to many variables. If you have access to a scan tool, pulling the codes should help. Without them its back to old school hunt and peck method. At this point we need to narrow down the problem. You need to test for spark.
  1. Tag and disconnect the spark plug wires from the spark plugs.
  2. Remove the spark plugs and install the spark plug wires to each spark plug.
  3. Ground (do not hold spark plug) the spark plug; check if spark occurs while engine is being cranked.
Crank the engine for no more than 2 seconds at a time to prevent flooding the engine with gasoline.
If you have spark, You will want to make sure you have fuel injector pulse, along with fuel pressure. If you have spark ..simply spray some starting fluid in through the air filter and hold the gas pedal to the floor and crank it over while spraying. If it fires up, you know it is fuel related( fuel pump, regulator, or ECM if no injector pulse) . If you have no spark then look at ignition coil connection and trace through to the distributor( if equipped ). The crank shaft sensor has a tendency to fail on these as well. This should give you a few things to test and check to start you on your way to narrowing it down. If you have no spark then look at ignition coil connection for power and trace through to the distributor( if equipped ). If it is DIS( no distributor). It may be the Crank sensor or the ECU. The crank shaft sensor has a tendency to fail on these as well.
The ECU uses the signal sent from the Crank sensor to trigger the spark and fuel injectors. ( make certain you have checked all fuses)

I need instructions on how to install a tacho in a 2002 cg lancer

We had tacho installation problem with out 98 lancer with no tacho on the panel. we got a aftermarket one but when we had to wiring it up it needed a tacho signle from the ignition coil. The ignition coil is built into the distributor which made it hard. The 2002 is the same distributor setup as the 98 so you can get step by step instructions with diagrams and pictures from my page, you will see an link that says Mitsubishi Tacho installation. website is let me know if you find it useful.
