Check the amber bulbs (directional) at all four corners of the car, one or more could be defective causing the flashers not to operate. You can check them by setting the directional stalk to right or left and observing the appropriate side bulbs, even when not flashing they should be on.

You have some burned out filaments. On dual filament bulbs the "blinkers" I am taking it to mean the turn signals. They are one filament. The "Flashing Caution lights, work on a relay circuit, which sends a larger amp current into the opposite filament then the turn signal. Check front & rear bulbs.

I am needing to install a turn signal flasher in a 2004 GMC Envoy and cannot locate where to install the piece. Help is greatly appreciated!

The Turn Signal/Hazard Flasher Module is located under the dash to the left of the steering column. It is a rectangular device plugged into a harness connector.

Left directional stopped working, started by blinking really fast, checked rear bulb, bulb is good but not working, now all the left side stopped this is on a 2004 envoy

The side the bulb is blinking faster than normal tells you the one not working on the very same side needs to be replaced

When turn signals are used, they stop blinking after 2-3 blinks. All lights are good.

Find your Flasher relay usually under dash divers side of sometimes under hood drivers side. Sounds like once it heats up it stops working...

TURN SIGNAL, BRAKE & HAZARD LIGHTS

No Turn Signal Operation (blinker)The turn signal lights in your car are a basic electrical system that controls the front and rear blinker lights to alert the intended direction of the vehicle. We have listed some of the most common problems and repair troubleshooting tips below:
Troubleshooting Procedure
To start troubleshooting this problem:
  • Turn the key to the on position (do not start engine)
  • Inspect the system fuse located in the fuse panel and replace if needed. If you cannot find the location of the blinker fuse consult your owner's manual or an online repair manual
  • When a blinker flasher fails it can cause blinker lights to say on, not blink, or not go on at all. To test the blinker system flasher, remove the flasher unit and insert a jumper wire between the two terminals. If blinker stays on in both directions without blinking, replace the flasher. If you cannot find the location of the blinker flasher consult your owners manual or an online repair manual.

2004 wrangler blinker problem

What other problem did you have before the signals quit? Something that stopped all functions from the signals has to be either a feed or ground IF the flasher is good. Signals feed. Hot wire from the flasher 1 and it should blink underload, but not with a test light or DVM. In other words using a test light the flasher wire should be powered steady. All the rest of the switch is switchable. You should also get a hot wire when the brake pedal is pushed. Check for power at the brake switch, key off.
