There really is no set time for a part to quit.... it makes abit of a chirpy squealy noise when it's going.... and you will see some antifreeze leaking out of the holes in the front of the casting... when you see that... time to replace the pump.

2002 Dodge Durango 4 x 4, 45,000 miles. It has a "wobble" in what feels like the front steering. Back when they had a recall on the ball bearings, dealership replaced them upon my request. I...

Not if they have been replaced.I would check for slack in the idler arm and the pitman arm. Also if this wobble happens only when you push on the brakes then its the brakes rotors out of round have them refaced or replaced with new ones.

Fuel gauge on 1999 Dodge Durango reads empty and fuel light comes on, happend after just filling tank. Checked the on board computer and DTE (distance to empty) reads 5C. Vehicle runs fine.

The float mechanism (or fuel level sender) on your fuel pump may be stuck or damaged. Attached is a digram of a typical fuel pump that is located inside the gas tank of your Dodge Durango.metrocard.jpg
You will need to remove your gas tank and pull out the old fuel pump to see if this is the problem. If you do this I would replace the fuel pump with a new one.

Need to replace water pump. What's the easiest way

I would attempt to take the fan blade off the water pump, then remove the fan shroud off the radiator but leave the radiator in the car.. it may take a little more finesse but save you alot of time..

My 2002 Dodge Durango, 4.7L 4X4, idles up and down, is starting to overheat on longer drives, and now is shifting very funny. Oil is good, antifreeze is good. Scan at Autozone only shows random misfires....

Sounds like more than one problem. As for the heating issue could be a (weak) water pump.If the miles are pretty high it wouldnt be a bad idea to service the tranny either. My 5.9L dodge shifted funny too. I changed the fluid and the screen. Also put a little sea foam in it.
