SOURCE: can't eject cd's from 2005 toyota sienna

can you play the cds? if you can but it won't come out, it may be a motor issue. if you can't, it may be an obstruction. to avoid doing any damage to the cd or the player, do not stick anything in there to try and dislodge it. instead, remove the player from the dash (unbolt and unclip the moulding shell, unbolt the radio from the mount, and unplug it), remove the top case, and remove the cd. while you're in there, try and find the obstruction. in many cases, pieces from the thin plastic sleeve from the visor cd holders will stick to it and come off in the player.

I have same issue on a 2000 T&C. Was working fine for years.
Now, each tape reverses and ejects.
Any responses on this?

I have a 2004 VW Jetta. The radio ejected the tape in the radio the ABS light came on and the airbag light. After several minutes the car would no longer accelerate. I pulled over and it died. If the car...

Open the hood. Lift the battery cover, then there is a little black box on top of the battery. Open it. bet it is burnt and melted. Do NOT take it to the dealership. You'll pay $600 . You need an alternator cable and a new fuse block. 30min fix.

I've done this by using a small screw driver and gently prying up on the tape while holding down the Eject button.

Getting an ERR8 code on the factory tape deck. Holding EJECT for 5 seconds isn't helping. There is an iPod conversion cassette (no actual tape) stuck in there. Is there a manual release somewhere?

No, there isn't. The only way I know to remove a cassette when the 'Eject' function doesn't operate, is to remove the audio unit & disassemble it to the point you can access & manually turn the gear(s) of the 'eject' mechanism. In the process, you could possibly discover where/what the problem is and fix it.

My 1995 bmw 318i won't eject a tape and the tape keeps changing from side 1 to side 2 and won't stop. I don't have any music in my car now since the only way to change it to radio is to eject the tape

Just a thought. try pushing the eject button holding it down & with a small pair of pliers carefully lift the tape & pull it out. Tape player heads could be dirty, eject button sticking or faulty or the player is done its time. Good luck

Tape stuck in player - error code e13 shows

I just got a tape unstuck myself. Everytime I would hit eject it would make a clicking noise.

Here is what I did:
First I watched these videos to remove the radio.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29MTa4FLjtk&feature=channel

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fqvk_PNo9Kg&feature=channel

Then I unscrewed the bottom panel of the radio.
Unscrew the brass screws holding in the cassette player portion of the radio.
Now flip the cassette player over to see your tape, etc.
When I pressed the eject button, I noticed a little motor with a worm gear would move a a gear which moved several other gears until it eventually moved a black gear which has a little post that moves the metal arm which moves back when pushing in a tape and moves forward when ejecting a tape. But I would get a clicking sound which seemed to be due to one gear trying to move a stuck gear.
I forgot the exact details of how I managed to get the tape out, but when I did get it out I noticed when I turned on the radio, it would act like it was trying to play a tape. But when it found out it couldn't, it would try to eject but would fail once again with the gear clicking sound.
I think I tried moving the black post on the black gear that moves the arm that pushes the tape out. Eventually I got to the point where the arm was pushed forward like it should be when a tape is ejected. At that point I was able to insert and eject a tape without any problems.

what we did was take another radio that had no display but the casette worked so we swapped face plates and installed the radio. We had the luxury of having more than one unit. Thanks anyway.
