Hi there thanks for responding so quickly. The truck has 80,000 miles on its a 5 speed stick and it has a 2.2 liter 4 cylinder engine. As far as the shocks I believe they are the factory stock ones. it drives great with no problems at all. I'm just wondering if that engine can pull a little over 2,500 lbs
I actually doubt that tho a manual transmission might help you abit... check the rating on that vehicle ... there is a label on the door pillar located on the drivers door... it should have the information you need.

This is referred to as "trailer hitching" because it feels like a trailer bouncing around back there. Trailer hitching is usually caused by a vacuum leak, either internal or external. It could be a bad vacuum hose, a sticking EGR, and intake gasket, or any number of other locations.
looks like there is special sequence to reassemble and tightening, a quick note replace any bolts that have two punch marks.tighten as follows:
10 4 2 6 8
7 5 1 3 9
torque all down to 15 ft lbs
torque to 30 ft lbs
plus 90 degrees.
Good luck!
Audi 4 cylinder engines must have timing belt replaced as soon as 75,00 miles but no later than 105,000 miles. When doing job properly the mechanics should be replacing belt, tensioners, rollers, waterpump, thermostat and gasket. Average price would be around $900-$1200 US dollars.
Structurly speaking the truck can handle it, it's the engine that worries me, I wouldn't chance it, I suggest you maybe rent a bigger truck to haul it, if you would of have had the 4.3l engine no sweat, hope it helps...
