Each plug should be under a coil - you may have to remove a plate in the center of the valve cover to access them.

SOURCE: CE 98 lancer

the gap should be gaped at 30 to 35 personally I would gap at 30 so it will burn hotter and give more boost with out burning a hole in your pistons

SOURCE: Spark plug gap for 1990 Mitsubishi Lancer

hi, in the american database for alldata, there is no lancer in 1990, if your engine is dohc, or sohc though, i checked 2.0 and 1.8, both are 1.0mm - 1.1mm gap. shouldn't be any problem running at these gaps, most every mitsubishi engine runs at this spark plug gap.

Why is my car jerking when I'm at slow speeds but goes away when you accelerate?

Could be incorrect valve clearance or bent valve stem if it is 'ticking', could be incorrectly set timing or incorrectly set spark plug gap or wrong fuel. Anything really.

so u have a CH/CG lancer

you would need to remove the two 10mm bolts from the coil packs and leads and then stick the smaller version of spark plug socket in remove them, bear in mind if u have a mivec motor the spark plugs MUST be Platinum :)
