Lost power steering then little battery light on... 99 Saab 9-3

I was driving and heard a soft kind of blowing sound, then at a stop light i heard a clunk, then the little battery light came on my dash, then when I started moving I realized I no longer had power steering. Anyone know what's wrong, and if it is an easy fix?

power steering belt? there is no such thing, per say. all the pullys are run off of one belt (serpentine belt) and there is no adjustment. the belt automatically adjusts by way of a belt tensioner. if for some reason your car does not have a serpentine belt, each major pully is adjusted by sliding the unit (alternator, power steering, or whatever) in the grooved holes on the units.

My 99 9-3 Saab loses all power while im driving. I have to get a boost to restart then it does it again.

Sounds like your battery is fried or your alternator is shot, try replacing the batterry and using di-electric grease to secure a connections

1999 saab 9-5 while driving it is jerking, at times it does not start without a jump

If the battery cable are not corroded, replace the battery. The battery is a very important component of an electrical system. Any check engine lights? 99 models often have a hole burned into the turbo hose on the right side of the car.

I was driving my 1999 Saab 9-5 today, it was raining, right after going through a puddle, my power steering stopped working, the battery light came on, so I pulled into a gas station, turned the engine...

LOL, nooooooo. You didn't hurt anything. In fact, you identified a problem by going through that puddle. You need a new serpentine belt and/or tensioner pulley. It sounds like the spring in your tensioner pulley may be worn, and not pulling your serpentine belt tight enough. Now, THAT being said, there MAY be yet another issue going on. While I don't doubt for a minute that you need 1) a new serp. belt, 2) a new tensioner pulley, and 3) a can of belt dressing, you may also want to check (while the old serp belt is off during the changing) that all your pulleys are spinning freely. Especially your AC compressor pulley. If your AC is low on refridgerant, it can lock up the pulley. The serp belt drives your power steering pump, your alternator, your AC pump, water pump, etc. If one pulley siezes up, the tensioner is weak, and the belt gets wet, NOTHING will turn. Hence the dead battery (alternator not turning), no power steering (pump not turning), and more importantly no coolant circulation (water pump not turning), which can cause serious overheating problems.

My power steering has stopped working in my saab 93 linear sport, the altinator is not charging either what is wrong

sounds like you have lost the drive belt or belts.
If the belt(s) is gone you should determine why before replacing them.

My SAAB 9-5 2.3 Automatic (V Reg) cuts out at low speed

Take a look at the accessories belt.... does the battery and/or check engine light's on? This belt activates water pump (check temperature gage...), power steering pump (heavy steering...), a/c compressor (a/c working?) and alternator (battery recharging)... of course!

Hope it will help you, even if my english isn't terrible...

'99 9-3 SE Conv. Top Issue...

R-
The 99 9-3 uses a hydraulic top system with a single pump and different solenoids which open and close at points to operate different pistons for the top operation. From your description, it sounds like one of the many microswitches for the system is defective, bent, or broken. This is usually more the problem with these tops than other real mechanical issues. I suggest taking it to an indy saab repair shop or saab dealer. In order to test what switch is failing you need to have the Tech 2 computer to communicate with the soft top ecu when the fault occurs.
