Question about 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 4WD
My 1998 Dodge Ram 4X4 Quad Cab (5.9L) has 84K miles on it. For about the last 30K miles, when it is extremely humid or raining, the truck often will not start. If I think about it when starting it in those conditions, I can get it to start only if I step on the gas when it first turns over. If I miss doing that, it wont start until the humidy drops. It always takes at least a day and most times longer for it to start. This happens all year round (located in Michigan). About 15K miles ago, I replaced the spark plug cables, hoping that might help, but no luck. Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated.
Does the check engine flash while driving, a quick test, cause I suspect the coil pack, when dark open the hood start the truck and with a water bottle spray the coil pack if you see sparks replace it, change many of those here ....

Mine done that too one day and was told the distribetor cap was bad and getting moister in it and causing it not to start so I replaced it and the plugs and plug wires has been running just fine
