Question about 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee
My 96 grand jeep cherokee is jammed into park and the car won't start. I think that I didn't put it fully into park or jammed it too hard into park. So now it's stuck. Any suggestions?
The simple fix might be the park interlock cable. this locks the shifter unless you press and hold the brake pedal while selecting gears. I've seen and replaced a few of these on several chrysler/dodge vehicles.

There was a recall that had to do with the shifter for my 96 GC Laredo. I had the dealer do it a couple of years ago for free...
