I'd guess that it is actually a 9/16" wrench or socket size.
9/16" = 0.5625 inches
14 mm = 0.5511
14.5 mm = 0.5709
15 mm = 0.5906
Since I am not familiar with a 14.5 mm wrench size, I'd guess it is not metrix but rather SAE/English size wrench.
