Same problem... replaced the fuse under the hood and still nothing! fans still don't work. also replaced both relays and still nothing! I checked the fuse in the dash compartment and that's fine. so what else could it be?

Any help would be very appreciated.

Any of your local parts stores will be able to supply you a fuse to replace your old one.

Find the fuse box and look for heater fan fuse to see if burnt out

The blower fuse is a 25amp marked #7. Check your owners manual for details.
The fuse could be blown, but the motor could also be full of ice.

Cooling fans inoperable

Be sure to check the fuses and relays first! If the fans were making noise before they failed, like you said; then it seems like they are the problem. Run power and ground to the fan to make sure.

2002 impala 3.8. Overheated. Had coolant leak.Replaced bad coolant elbows and thermostat with fail-safe. Car still overheats. Noticed cooling fans not running when A/C turned on. Blown fuses. Replaced....

A bad relay will not blow a fuse. The radiator cooling fan must run with the A/C on or the vehicle will overheat and the A/C will perform poorly. First I would check the draw on you cooling fan motor-it may be blowing the fuse, or you have a wire shorted to ground.

Cooling fans dont turn on

The first thing you have to check for is blown fuses. If you find a blown fuse it needs to be replaced. Check to make sure that the fans themselves are not broken. This sounds like a job for a trusted mechanic. Keep that in mind. Hope this helps! Please rate 4 thumbs up!

Engine low coolant light on. looked for leak in engine compartment, none found. Topped off tank with red vw coolant. Went a few days and light came on again. This time a little fluid on garage floor....

You can idle the car up to operating temperature to see if the cooling fan engages. there is a fuse for the fan, it's a 30 amp breaker located in the fuse panel mounted under your hood right on top of your battery. Your Owners Manual should have an illustration.

Sounds like the electric fan is not coming on. Could be the switch screwed into the radiator, a malfunctioning fan relay, a blown fan fuse or the fan motor has gone bad.

Heater blower resistor gets very hot

the resistor is indeed very hot! and you are right it's cool by the blower, that's why most resistors are in the blower case.
the fuse was blown because it's not the right amp rating or the blower may be going bad.

Car temp gauge goes to high and at idling there is no heat

you need to make sure the cooling fans are turning on when it reaches 212 degrees,it could be a blown fuse for coolant fans or a relay
