Removed the two bolts holding the metal housing to the engine where the top radiator hose goes into the engine. No thermostat? Where is it? There is a temperature sensor going into the same housing, but no thermostat. Where is it? There is a non-round gasket set into the removable housing piece with the radiator hose attached. But no thermostat. Where is it? Anybody????

You need to follow the upper hose that lead from the radiator to the engine, there is two bolt that connect the thermostat housing to the block loosen the bolt using a 10 mm socket with ra-chet. Make sure that the engine is cool off before attempt to do this you will lose coolant but that's ok you will add the coolant when you finish replacing the thermostat. start the engine with the radiator cap off then add coolant slowly and cap it, then fill the reservoir up.

note the way you remove the thermostat that's the same way you will put the new one so pay attention when you remove the old one good luck.

Where on my 1992 Honda accord LX standard transmission is the speed sensor located?

Under your thermostat housing but on the transmission. Two 10mm bolts hold it on and there is a plug on it. If you don't know where the therm housing is, follow the lower radiator hose from the the bottom of your radiator to where it goes into the engine.

I need to replace the thermostat for the radiator and engine for a 92 honda accord. but I cannot find the place were it is or goes.

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Drain the cooling system (petcock bottom of radiator)
Follow the top radiator hose back to where it connects to the engine.
The part with the two bolts in it that the hose connects to is the thermostat housing.
You may have to remove the hose in order to remove the housing.
When you have removed the housing, note the position of the thermostat before you remove it.
When installing, use new gasket, etc.
(you might be able to get away with not removing the radiator hose, but it is recommended)
Be prepared for a bit of spillage when you remove the housing.
Hope this, being a bit late, helps.
