Question about 2002 Toyota Tacoma
I know there could be a handfull of reasons why the 4X4 won't ingage. I want to start with the basics first by checking the Vacuum fuse. I'm missing my owners manuel and I can't find a fuse diagram on line. Could someone help me locate the fuse that's tied into the 4x4 system? I hope this makes since to someone. Thank you.

SOURCE: tacoma 4x4 not engaging
Do you have all 4 tires matched to each other? If you have 1 worn and 3 new, expect problems. Also, 2 tires on the front from 1 mfgr and 2 on the rear from a different mfgr will cause no 4WD. If all 4 tires match, put it in 4WD and tap on the transfer case and the front shift mechanism on the front axle. One or the other may be stuck, assuming that the 4WD fuse is good. The fuse is in the fusebox under the dash.

dont look for air when the car cuts out its most likley spark or fuel when it cuts out ranomly its usually a sensor or relay that is faulty check fuel pump relay and camshaft or crankshaft sensors but first narrow it down to spark or fuel if possible also if check engine lite is on check codes
