you probably mean the valve head gasket.
In this case this is serious work and you should contact a local VW dealership or mechanic and have them do this work for you to insure a job well done. If you simply mean your Valve cover, then this is no big deal and can be done by taking out the 4 screws found at the corners of the valve cover and then simply lifting the cover free and replacing it with a new one/tightening the screws back down.
hope this helps :)

I have the same problem on a 2003 Town & Country. The cover for the front 3 cylinders is quite straight forward, but in order to do the rear cylinders I believe you are going to have to remove the cowling below the windshield. You will need a gear puller to remover the windshield wipers first, then remove the cowling. Than should give you more room to work. It's still not going to be easy, but it sure beats paying hundreds of $$$$ in labor charges.

The gasket has metal torque limiters.use your own judgement just dont break the bolts

Typically the timing cover holds the front seal for the oil pan. You may not have to remove all of the bolts on the pan but it does need to drop down enough to put the timing cover on and usually that means the gasket on the pan will also have to be replaced as it gets torn up when you pry the oil pan loose. You will also need a harmonic balancer puller to get that off.
