6.2 diesel will not bleed diesel

Make sure all lines are light when turning engine over. While turning engine over loosen the a line closes to pump or the fuel filter. You should get some fuel. Then continue on all lines working farther away.

How can i fix the code po216 on my 1996 chevrolet truck c3500 turbo diesel 6.5 solve this.

A P0216 is usuualy the injector pump it self. Pull the filter and use a magnet in the bottom of the housing-you will find metal in the bottom-that metal goes thru the filter and shorts out the fuel solenoid which overheats the driver module and destroys it. You can check the lift pump for pressure(4 psi). You will need a injector pump and the fuel system cleaned of the pump will fail in a year again. There is a special policy out on the pump and you may want to contact the dealer to see if you qualify.

I am trying to find where the fuel pump is located on my diesel chevy truck?

like gasoline vehicles it is located inside the fuel tank. However, I have never replaced one on a diesel but a gasoline it is easier to remove the bed than it is to drop the tank unless the tank is empty. Your bed and tank are bigger either way.

Diesle engine quits after starting. 6.5 turbo chev

If your filter hasn't been changed recently then by all means do itand see if that helps. I change mine twice a year, spring and fall. You are probably right about the fuel pump but your best bet would be to pick up a copy of Haynes Diesel Engine Repair Manual, part #10330 first. It has an excellent diagnostic and repair section as well as testing procedures and repairs for these engines. It costs about $20 and could save you some money. Hope this helps.

94 diesel chevy truck won't crank after replacing

did you prime the filter and get the air out of the lines if you dont it will cause a pressure lock and not let the truck start.

After replacing fuel pump and filt truck wont start with started fuid

If this is a diesel you should not use starter fluid unless the glow plugs and glow plug controller is removed. If this is a diesel you most likely have air in the fuel system. When changing fuel filter on a diesel fill the filter container with clean diesel, screw the top of the fuel filter canister on open the bleed screw and turn the engine over until only clear fuel (no air bubbles)is bled from fuel system. Then you may have to turn loose the connector on the innjectors to bleed more air out of the fuel system.

1994 chevrolet diesel

Nope.. It's probably your pump mounted injection module (or injection pump) what ever you wanna call it.. A little control box up in the engine compartment next to the intake.. little 4 wire connection.. Pain in the **** expensive..
