Car Starting Problem

Basically, when I go to turn on my car it makes a noise that sounds like a ''clunk'' that's all it does. Not sure if it's my battery or what not. All the interior lights still work and everything and no real problems that I know of. The conditions the car are in is that it is parked underground so I can't get a tow truck in there and the temp. outside is -25C average outside so about -5C inside where I park. Thank you for any information you might be able to give me.

Did it rain before it happens? if yes, it should be an isolation problem of the starter, you should call bmw asistance for reseting the system

The noise is the starter solenoid, the reason the starter doesn't spin is the electrical contacts in the solenoid are burned/worn out, these contacts can be replaced, have done it on my own car, parts abvout $15, go to this link for parts.

My 1996 dodge intrepid has a clunk when i turn parking the car and it shacks at 25 mph

this would be your cv axle the clunking is a sure sign ,its the same noise in all front wheel drive cars,if not fixed it can cause a number of other problems.this is your front drive axle.

Hear and feel a clunking noise when the car is turned right at very low speeds or just starting out.

Make sure your tire pressure on the front tires is equal, the same. If they are not, you will get this clunking sound because one tire, that is proper pressure, is going further than the one that isn't. This will cause excessive wear on the CV joints & wheel bearings if it is going on for a long time. If you still have the problem after setting the tire pressures properly, you may have a wheel bearing or CVjoint problem. Hope this info helps! Good luck!

Sounds to me like you might have to replace your cv shaft they tend to make an odd clunking noise at regular patterns in turns.
