This sounds like a low voltage condition, that is why the radio resets, it looses keep alive memory, either the battery is failing or there is a poor connection at the starter motor fusible links (these supply power to the accessories) or the battery cables are corroded, check these items, I am sure that is the problem, on the hard start this is commonly caused by a defective check valve in the fuel pump, this valve keeps pressure in the fuel system, if it fails all the gas drains back to the tank and causes long start times and then start and stall problems, most times the car will do both things, long crank times and start and stall, the valve is part of the fuel pump and the pump is in the gas tank.

Ground issue... check all battery power and grounds...raining where you are?..... these kind of electrical gremlins can be tricky..but it is a main one if all those issues are cropping up..primary circuit always hot wiring and engine management electrical

Check out for any leakage or blockage in the pump as not getting proper pressure could be 1 of the problem.

I have a 2000 Pontiac Grand Am GT. I got it at an auction and the radio says LOC. I cant turn it on. What do i do?

LOC usually means LOCKED because wrong codes have been entered.

To reset , leave SWITCHED ON...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself.

This can often be as long as 24 hours or more as the waiting time doubles after each wrong code.

How do I reset my oil change light?

Turn the key into the run position without starting the car( where all of the dash lights turn on). Then press the gas pedal to the floor and let go 5 time within 3 seconds. The oil light should start flashing. Then start the car and the light will be reset. I hope this helps!

Double check fuses, in case one of the power wires touch something and blew a fuse. You'll have 2 power, one with & without key on.
