All fuses in fuse block under dash are intact .I had a Tech at a Chrysler dealer tell me to check fuseblock under the hood. There isn't a second fuseblock . I don't have an owners manual nor access to diagnostic computer.

Is it possible for the fuse block to be located in the air cleaner on right fenderwell? That is the only place I can see it would be located. No other location to be seen.

Still haven't found the relay box. It is not under the hood. Is it possible that it is behind the glove box? If anyone has a copy of the owners manual for 1990 Dakota, could you check that to see what it says? I looked at the fuse panel on the drivers side, under the kick plate, but there is no ECM fuse on that. The ECM fuse is what is blown, I am pretty certain.

to tell the truth not sure, i have a 93 no under hood box on it, so I guess I was incorrect, check to see if the ECM under the hood has power, it is on the passenger side.

My trooper is giving like 6 miles to the gallon its a V6 2.8 engine. I dont know where th oxygen scensor connect.

Hello! I have the wiring to your engine and perhaps a solution...The wire color from the ECM on Connector D pin #7 is White/Green and goes to the O2 sensor...The color at the O2 sensor is Black...White/Blue is connector D pin #1...wire colors that have aged are easily mistaken White looks Yellow with age...connect the O2 sensor to D-7...The O2 sensor is White/Green NOT White/Blue (which looks like Yellow/Blue) this wire is the Check Engine Connector...Tell me how many wires are either cut or misplaced? If we eliminate wiring we can concentrate on why your getting 6 miles /Gal...

If the vehicle backfires or runs poorly My next suggestions are to check the plug wires to be sure they are in the correct place...and #2 to check the timing...the left bank=1, 3, 5 and the right bank=2, 4, 6...Firing order is1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6...CCW on the distributor...Stick with me and we'll have it purring. see timing below...

Where is the asd relay on my 1990 dakota?

ASD is in the engine compartment fuse block.

The pump relay should be there also. Check your fuse panel in the truck though.

Fuses, Relays & Circuit Breakers The fuse panel box is to the right of the glove box with the glove box door opened or beneath the instrument panel (dashboard) on 1989-93 models.

Pull out the fuse panel for access to the blade type fuses

1990 Dodge Dakota 3.9l V6 won't start

look in the engine compartment near the battery... should see a long flat plastic piece with tabs on each end... remove that cover... lots of relays there and fuses too.
