Thats normal on high milage engines. They do that because the cam and main bearings are warn.
Try an oil treatment.

2001 Tahoe will start but dies immediately

It is better to have a Higher Oil Pressure.. When shut off it reading 40 is just the gauge I would think. On my 78 Chevy the gauge will not zero out untill the next day when I go to start it and turn the key over. You might try running some Fuel stabilizer through it, Possibly a better Grade gas.. As the oil goes, If you are loosing oil I advise checking it Weekly, and add oil as needed.. to maintain the proper running level.. Change every 5000 miles or so as normal, Also Change filter each time you change the oil. I hope this helps a little. Good luck!

1999 JIMMY OIL PRESSURE drops with RPMs after warm

Normal is 10w30.
If the oil pressure gauge is correct, my guess would be worn engine bearings and / or oil pump.

My 1995 Chevy tahoe is hard to start, runs rough when you start out, has high oil PRESSURE

not enough info, what engine, fuel injected? if so what type, multi port, or throttle body? oil pressure is not the problem, it could have a Hi-Perf. oil pump. fix the leaks, they will make a horrible odor. and coolant leaks will make it run hot.

I have an 1997 tahoe and fuel pump went out replaced pump and filter and still won't start. gas is up on the rail at 45psi but not getting to the injectors

This truck requires 51-56 PSI fuel pressure before it will start. You may have gotten a bad fuel pump.

It will not start with low fuel pressure. Buy a bottle of quik start and spray a little bit into the throttle body (JUST A LITTLE BIT ) if it starts and stays running you have a bad fuel pump or a clogged filter. It is no reccommended to use quik start so only do this once or twice then repair the problem.

2006 chevy 2500 express cargo van .What is a good oil pressure for this van. it has 150,000 miles runs great

60psi cold / 30-45psi warm is ideal. I've seen (with that mileage) 45 cold/ 20 warm and that's acceptable - anything less start thinking about a new oil pump.

Oil pressure gauge goes up when car started, but then down to 0

u Have a problem with the oil sending unit. The sensor is located beack right side of the engine block. Take out the switch and make sure u have good oil PSI. Should be 6 psi at idle and around 50 at 4000 RPM. If the presure is ok replace the switch they are very cheap about 20 bucks. Please rate.

Oil pressure guage drops after engine warms up

Is it possible that you are using a different brand or weight of oil? 10w30 instead of 10w40 could potentially cause this.

Can also be caused by engine running warmer for some reason.

3 psi shouldn't be much of a concern.

You can try a heavier weight oil if you want it to be a little higher.

Car stalls when oil pressure drops...20 minutes to restart

No it is a fail safe. When your oil pressure drops below (on most cars) 30 psi your computer will shut your fuel pump down until you either let it sit for a while and it resets or until oil pressure builds again. Sorry!
