SOURCE: Replacement Battery

I live in new york and this seems very high to me. I have a price estimator for this area and it runs at 110 to 150 dollars to replace. if you can replace it yourself it will only cost the price of the battery.

SOURCE: 2003 Rav4 ecu

You may try contacting Richard from Otherdeal.com. They are in Puerto Rico, but they successfully fixed my friend's ecu that had that same part number. They were the only ones able to fix it. The others turned away because it was not for a rav4 of the usa, but from Chile and the others told that they could not fix it because they had no ways of resetting it.

Cheers,

How do I reset ECU for 2006 RAV4

You can remove the fuse for the ECU or remove the battery for 10 mins or so ,should do the job. You probably have to drive the car through all its gears at varying revs before the ECU gets a chance to re-learn it'self

2001 ford focus se. Charging system inicator came on briefly 3 times. Car cut out 25 min later. Recently replaced battery and terminals. Seems like alternator but after dying car wouldnt start 10 hrs later...

(this damages the ecu Disconnected negative terminal and car still ran) check and clean the alternator connections. and check the earths. light can come on if water has gotten into the alternator or the connection has come loose. you don't disconnect the battery when the engine is running as it can shock the ecu alternators have a built in voltage stabilizer but this only works with feed back from the battery no feed back it can convert ac instead of dc and blow up the ecu. it also damage other parts.

Code b2796 however no immobilizer in vehicle

Hello! Know for sure that you already fixed or burned your car lol... i had the same issue and resolved with an stupidity. There is a fuse that the car might or might not need depending if it does have an inmobilizer or not. Mine did not have it therefore the fuse was not needed. Once I removed it issue was fixed.

Instructions for replacing 1997 Jeep Wrangler 6cyl

Its an easy job! Disconnect the battery first! That's very importand! Then disconnect the wiring pack from the ECU. Some models are equipt with snap-systems, other with a screw-system to remove the wiring connector from the ECU. If done, there are three or four screws that hold the ECU in place with the body. Remove the screws and you hold the ECU in your hands. To buy a new or rebuilt ECU, reffer to the numbers shown on the label at your Wranglers ECU in combination with the V.I.N. To connect the new ECU with the wiring pack, be careful with the connector! You need to put him in the right position to connect with the ECU. Do it slow and make sure the connector fits to all points. Otherwise you'll bake some contacts inside the connector.

Not idle

In some cases Mitsubishi products have been known to cause problems when the battery has been changed. This is because the power has been disconnected from the ecu and causes all sort of problems.
what i would suggest is this.
-Remove the possitive battery cable from the battery for 5mins to let the ecu power down.
while the power is off take the time to check the fuses in the fuse block to see if any have blown. replace as nessecary.
-Re-connect the cable but do not start it at this point.
-turn the ignition to on position and let the system run its diagnostics. this will temoparyilly reset the computer to its original point.
- start the vehicle and note any changes from normal.
what i mean by this is .
the battery light stay on.. the check engine light is on.
if none of these are present, then continue on with your jourey..
However if the same problems are present as before then you might have a eletrical fault somewhere and I require more information to guide u further
