If you are wanting to know what services are due, the best thing to do is check your Owner's Manual. Different things may be due depending on how your Civic is equipped (engine size, transmission type, etc.).

If you do not have an Owner's Manual, you can download a free copy by signing up for a free registration at ownerslink.com. 2004 honda civic sedan since november 2003 40,000 miles and dealer says timing belt needs to be changed live in seattle

Although your milage is very low your belt is do by time.Alot of times i consider the wear of the external belts because the timing belt will wear similar to them and considering the cost of replacing a timing belt as a maitenence compared to a failure I would definitely do it now.

Hi .. 2004 Honda Civic EX at 61000k miles .. going to purchase , when is the timing belt to be changed ? pls advice.. asap . so as to finalise the deal .. also 60 k maintaince is not done.. so that...

Timing belt need to be done around 100K miles. You might want to check the brakes. Fronts struts are known to leak on this model car. Trans fluid will need to be replace. Air filter and pollen filter might need to be replace if dirty. I worked on Honda for 8 years and this model doesn't have too many major problem, but I can't say that for the one you're buying.
good luck

95 honda civic timing belt replacement process

If you have never changed a cambelt (timing belt) then it is not recommended that you attempt it. It is a job for a mechanic, as getting the cam timing wrong on reassembly is easy to do and can have disastrous consequences. It is easy enough once you know how, and if you are reasonably mechanically able, I'd suggest getting a repair manual for your vehicle that has a step by step procedure for timing belt replacement. Companies like Haynes produce very good repair manuals.

2000 honda civic manual transmission

I would have to see the car if you would need all of these, most likely you could do the flushes yourself if they are needed. Take the car to another shop and see what they recommend changing and at what price. Everything depends on actually seeing the car and whether the above have been done before. The prices aren't out of question.
