Temp sensor is at the right hand rear of the engine (left side when looking from the front). You can get to it from above without too much issue.
They regularly fail and are a cheap replacement part. They don't throw diagnostic codes. Go genuine, or Bosch.

To replace, you pull the retaining clip out to the rear (be careful, they get dropped easily). The sensor itself pulls out, but will probably be stuck in slightly, so don't damage the cars plug pulling it out (disconnect plug first).
Make sure the o-ring comes out too, or go fishing for it (they can be brittle and break with age). New sensor will come with a new o-ring.

Search 2004 A8 phone. You'll find a few threads. Depending on what the problem is, you might find a solution. I spent 6 months trying to get the bluetooth puck to work and it turned out to be a few computer codes that needed to be changed.

SOURCE: water leaking in my audi a8

There should be a drain hole or tube that leads out of the car. Find it and clean it out. (wet/dry shop vac?)
Don't poke too sharp of things into it, or you might damage something, though.

Do not know how to check transmission fluid for an 2000 audi a8 quattro

Audis and VW Passats (basically an Audi A4 with a VW nameplate) do not have any provision for checking the A/T fluid. I could not accept this myself, so I went to multiple dealers and mechanics, and they all gave me the same answer.

The claim is that the Audi transmission is supplied as a "sealed unit" and they should never need their fluid checked or changed until they need to be rebuilt.

I need to know where the thermostat is located for the Audi A8 V8 4.2 Quattro Automatic 2006

The thermostat is located in front of the engine, between V cylinder banks, for Audi A8 V8 4.2 Quattro Automatic. See pictures below:

Remove the thermostat housing (2 bolts) and the old thermostat. Note the orientation of the old thermostat (vent valve facing UP). Clean both thermostat housing and block surfaces and remove all traces of old gasket material. Install the new thermostat vent valve facing UP.

Please do rate my response. Thanks!

Where is and how to take out blower motor 98 audi a8 quattro

The blower motor is in the engine compartment, closest to the firewall. It's dead center under a vented cover. The reason for water in the vents may be due to a worn out seal around the blower housing.
