Possible ac pump froze up, or the timing advance isn't working to allow the engine to speed up to correct the extra load caused by the AC.

SOURCE: Air conditioner compressor clutch went out twice

The air conditioner turns on even when you don't use it. Like anytime you have your defrost on, it helps dry the air inside of your vehcile. So by letting the leak continue the clutch turns on then off on then off over and over instead of just kicking in and staying on. Yes, if you don not fix the problem it will continue. I wish I had better news for you.

SOURCE: 2003 Trailblazer Air Conditioner fan runs but no air out vents

Mine does the exact same thing. If I turn it off for a few minutes it will work again for about 15 minutes. Doesn't matter which area I select the air to come out. The fan blows hard but very little air comes out.

If the compressor is failing, or there is a restriction in the ac system, the compressor could put a heavy load on the belt and the engine.
Normally the ac clutch would slip and not kill the engine, but anything is possible.
I t could be something else electrical too.

I am getting a P1481 code, From what I see it could be the Fan Clutch, but would it also cause it to shift at a higher RPMs, It only does it some time.

OK, loss of cooling fan speed. I will say this is plausible. I'll take your word for it (sometimes my online resource is not complete).

After repairing the fan on the cooling system our 2002 Nissan Xterra air conditioner blows warm air until hitting the highway and then it will cool off. There was no problem with the air until the repair

Need to make sure the fan is acually running with ac on.If so see if the fan is pulling air,or pushing air.Is the fan on the out side of condenser or inside? The fan ,if on the inside of condenser(engine side)it should pull air.If it is on the out side of the condenser it should push air.If all this checks out, then see if the fan is running slow,it should run very fast.Is there another fan?Is it working? It to should be running with ac on.

Engine running hot

Possibly fan clutch or clogged radiator/condensor.
To check for fan clutch, hook up A/C gauges, turn a/c on watch high side gauge. 300 psi. and above run water on condensor, if psi. goes down to about 250 psi and holds. replace fan clutch.
If not, check radiator/condensor for dibris outside, and or corrosion inside the radiator.
