We have a used 2000 Pontiac Montana. It has a VCR in it but we can not seem to get it to work. When we pull the screen down it lights up but the video does not show up on the screen. What am I doing wrong?
We also have a 2000 montana, we have the original vcr and have had a dvd player installed recently..love both! Have you played with VCP/AUX switch that is on the controls behind and above the drivers headrest? maybe in wrong position

I recently got this 2005 montana sv6 from my grandoa and thedvd player was jamming up and not working ...Missing: movies
Many times if you pull on the release and have someone give a sharp "bounce" on the leading edge of the hood it will get the latch to work. If you get it open, make sure you spray the mechanism with some wd40 to free it up.
i had the same problem on my 2000 montana, used a scanner to check for abs code and found right front sensor throwing code, checked sensor and found ok, checked harness from sensor to connection under hood and found wiring circut at the plastic clip where harness hooks to sensor was bad, replaced harness from connector to sensor and problem went away
the boards in the tail lights have issues the plugs melt and they screw up the grounds. if your dash light signal indicators or on steady at night then chances are you will need new harnesses and light board assemblies
