Question about 1990 Toyota Camry
The car jerks real bad when i give it gas and try to take off and sometimes stalls when i come to a stop or when left idling, but as far as shiftin goes.. everything seems fine to me
What happens here is this: The computer sends 5 volts DC to the air flow meter, and its internal devices. Depending on temperature, or the position of the "door" on the air flow meter, a portion of those 5 volts is sent back to the computer. This is how the computer understands the actions of the various devices, thru voltage and the portion returned. If the contacts are corroded, or not making good contact, the voltage sent back is incorrect, and the computer makes the wrong calculations. I hope that my info has helped you, the graciousness of a FIxYa rating from you regarding my assistance would be much appreciated.
