Question about 2001 Buick Century
I came to you with the same problem in Nov. You suggested that we remove egr valve since we had already replaced it and open throttele to see if there wer carbon deposits clogging egr port. We did this and used a cleaner and a wire and cleaned out port. There was alot of carbon buildup and we though problem was solved. But light came back on. We hooked computer to it and it came up with 2 codes, P1404 and P1404P. Can you think of anything else to solve this problem?
Most EGR codes will need to be reset with a scanner after corrective action and will not clear on their own.
Hope this helps some.
