Question about 2004 Jaguar X-Type

1 Answer

Warm air from side vents

My 2005 jaguar s-type supercharge is blowing warm air but only on the outer vents. i have been to three different dealers & they are all asking me to replce different parts no one is sure which parts to replace, they are just guessing, so why should i put money into a guess...any ideas? Both AC and Heat blow from defrost vents only, no other, no one yet has been able to fix

I have 2003 Jaguar S-Type. Occasionally, the air conditioner will blow cold air out the center vents and warm air out the side vents. If I stop the engine and let it "reset" all seems to be ok - cold air out of all vents. This first happend about 1 year ago, and has not repeated until just recently - and only happened a total of 5 times. Any ideas of what the problem could be?

SOURCE: 04 Jag S type middle air vents cool, sides hot. Recirc hot.

here is what you do. look on the passenger side front near the bottom of the radiator. there you will see the dccv or dual coolant control vavle. it will have your two heater hoses running to it and another hose from the radiator under it . once you have identified it , feel and look around it for any signs of leaking. barring any leaks, disconnect the connector, turn the ac/engine on and usining a tester , test for voltage on each of the three wires.if both outer wires have no current ( the middle wire yellow- will have current) then your problem is the control panel. if the control panel is not a navigation it is possible to easily repair it. replacing it can run from 600.00 to 1500.00 depending on who you goe to. oh by the way its still some data that you aint looked at. holla back if you need more help or a repair of the a/c control panel.

First thing to do is check the Gas level in the AC , as if it is a little low it will do that.

sounds like the blend motor from hot to cold is stuck open half way allowing both temps to come into the car.

SOURCE: 02 Jaguar S Type - Heater blowing cold air

Has the vehicle overheated recently, if not there is a failure of the Coolant from engine valve controller, that measures flow through the Heater Matrix. Come back with more, as necessary.

2005 s type jaguar motion sensors not working

As far as your a/c issue, this sounds like a common problem of low refrigerant charge in the a/c system, most of the cars with dual climate control will blow cool air from passenger side and warmer air on drivers side when the refrigerant level gets too low. I would suggest taking it to a repair shop and have the system checked for a leak before you try and have it recharged... and as far as the motion sensor issue, this may be a module that is faulty or a sensor that has failed, either way it will have to be looked at by the dealer or a shop that has a proper scanner to check the sensor and module status... hope this helps

No heat jaguar 88 xj6 fan wont turn on cool air out the defrost vent

I have the similar problem with both my Jaguars, one is a 1988 Jaguar XJS, the other is a 1987 Jaguar XJ6, both blow COLD air out some vents while it blows warm air for heat. I heard it had something to do with the cold air blowing as a dehumidifier, I don't know if this is true, but it is really annoying to have both cold and warm air blowing when I need heat in these cold Canadian winters. If you find out please drop this website a note and let us know how you solved it. thanks.
