Question about 1994 Chevrolet C1500
My transmission won't shift out of low, the speedometer won't work and the brake light stays on. Also my heater fan does not come on. This problem had a gradual start. When the brake light didn't go out after starting the truck, I was able to just move the wires under the dash and the light would go out and all was fine. Now I cannot get light out, truck to shift, blower to work.
I have changed the speed sensor in transmission and the brake switch on the steering column. I have dash torn apart but do not see any obvious problems with wiring.
Can anyone please HELP?? I need my truck to work!
OK, this truck needs a complete re wiring job. i recommend replacing all wires on this vehicle. This truck has many flaws in its wiring strands. this can cause a vehicle fire if not done soon. i would change the connectors as well. considering the age of this truck and how exposed the undercarriage is, i can most certainly blame this on faulty wiring.

That is a short on the truck wiring, and problem is getting worse, and causing new troubles every dwy more, as you keep turning on the truck with the problem on.
Try first unplugging battery contacts for ten minutes. This can reset the car ECU.
After resetting the ECU , see if the truck starts, if it does go to a mechanic and have the contact fixed, before it damages other parts.
