!989 Dodge Daytona, Will not start sometimes.

I have a 1989 Dodge Daytona I got for my 17th birthday present, we've had it repaired since it's been sitting up for three years. I got it back 3 weeks ago from the mechanic, it worked fine up til now when while in motion my foot on the gas, the car engine cuts off and slowly comes to a stop.
I can't figure it out why considering I have a new alternator on it, I have half a tank, new battery, and many other new engine parts. I just don't know why it does it it's been doing this for the past 3 days, today(Tuesday) being it's worst.
If anyone has any suggestions please, give them to me I'm at my wits end here.

My 89 just recently died at a stop light, and it wont start again. I recently had the coil replaced, and it acted just like it did this time. Unfortunatly, a new coil, pick-up coil (in the distributor), and a new battery havent changed anything. The car is sitting at my work refuses to start. Timing belt maybe? I dont seem to be getting any spark at all when its trying to start. Distributor? Suggestions please, or a for sure fix. Until then, I'm without a vehicle.

Retime your engine to start off, and then try cleaning the fuel injector and check your fuel pump(s).

96 dodge daytona. Starts fine at first then as driving down road it will shut down just like turning off key except theres power every where i can see. then it doesnt seem to wanna start just turns over....

hi, this is a common problem and only points at one thing being at fault, the problem you are having is going to be with the oxygen sensor(or lambda sensor for its true name)
Now the reason it points to this is that when the car is cold the oxygen sensor isnt working as it only starts working when it reaches a certain temperature and this is when your getting the problem then whilst the car is still hot it just wont start but as soon as it cools down you will find it starts as normal.

Replacing this part will solve your problem.

Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

While motor running it skipps or hipcups sometimes even stalls engine cuts out

usually this is a fuel system issue. But you will want to take a look at the truck's repair and maintenance history. (when was the last tune-up and/or any recent repairs or issues) Also how many miles are on her? Could be a clogged CAT. Run a back pressure test to confirm.
