Try these 2 numbers. 4853 or 2346

first if you have 8 radio station presets and second one if you dont.

The radio code feature of Daewoo models (sold in the US from 1998 - 2001 as Leganza, Nubira, and Lanos) is meant to be an anti-theft security feature, but unfortunately it can also present a problem to legimate owners when their car batteries have died or been replaced. When the radio is removed from the power source (or the power source is interrupted), the radio will reset itself (prevent any use) and flash "CODE" until the proper code is entered. Each radio has a specific four-digit code, which was originally provided on a plastic card within the owner's manual kit. New owners were encouraged to remove the card and keep in a safe place outside the car (eg home). Since these cards may be lost over time (or perhaps not passed along when the car was sold used), that leaves today's owner in a tough spot. To obtain your code... You can try calling Daewoo Motor America (the company still operates a HQ in CA for service/parts/warranty purposes); their website is still www.daewoous.com. You can also try calling your original Daewoo dealer, who hopefully still has some technical materials and personnel to help you identify your unique code. Some General Motors dealers may be able to help, as GM acquired Daewoo and still sells Daewoo-made cars in the US under their Pontiac and Chevy brands. But all methods above may be difficult for an individual detailed problem such as obtaining your unique radio code.
If all else fails, TRY THE CODES BELOW, which were the most common codes used in models during the 1998-2001 model years. 4316

My Lanos radio requires a code to unlock it whenever the battery is disconnected and reconnected. If I install a new radio, will it also require a code?

depends on the radio you bu. If the radio you get has a removable face then the code is stored in the face. If you get a radio that is all one part then it will have a code that you will have to enter every time the battery is removed. If the battery removal is something you do regularly then go to a battery supply shop and enquire about a back up pack that plugs into the data link and maintains all the electronic settings while the battery is out

You can obtain the code from daewoousa. Remove radio and get serial number from radio (white strip with black numbers on radio) Email this to daewoousa and they will email back your 4 digit code. To input code, disconnect the NEGATIVE battery cable, pause, then reconnect. Your radio face will now flash "code" Input the 4 digit code given to you. Radio will play after about 15 seconds.

your radio has an anti theft code which stops the radio working if it is stolen but it also comes on if the battery is flat or removed you should have been given this code when you bought your car check your vehicle documents if you dont have the code you will have to get it recoded
