Re: replace the headlight bulb Chev. Trialblazer. 2005
On the drivers side pop off the black round cap from behind the light in the engine compartment and turn and release the connector. On the passenger side remove the air filter housing and remove cap and connector. this is very tight and the wire harness is short. It is mostly a one handed operation. Good luck.

NO YOU HAVE TO REPLACE HIGH BEAM LIGHT BULBS WITH HIGH BEAM LIGHT BULBS BECAUSE HIGH BEAM LIGHT BULBS AND LOW BEAM LIGHT BULBS TWO DIFFERENT TYPES OF BULBS.WEAR CLEAN LATEX GLOVES HANDLING THE HEADLIGHT BULBS WHICH IS HALOGEN LIGHT BULBS, OIL FROM FINGERS OR HAND WILL CAUSE HALOGEN BULBS TO OVER HEAT BLOW OUT.
will try to help. open hood go to side blown bulb is at. look above the headlight, see a silver bar on top of headlight assembly? slide it out, carefully, lift the headlight assembly upwards, after the assembly comes up, disconnect the bulb by twisting the bulb assembly to your left, bulb should come out squeeze the bulb at the base, you should see the silver clips that hold bulb in. after old bulb out, push the new bulb in twist the holer back to your right[backwards] right.replace the headlight assembly back into place[mindful of plastic rings that the silver pin slides through to retain it] slide the silver pin back through the plastic holes that holds the light into place. thank you for choosing fixya.com and as always.,if you need further assistance, please repost your question and we'll ba happy to help
First have codes checked (most larger parts houses do this free. Buy a chiltons or haynes manual and check code meanings and instructions for testing using a digital volt/ohmeter. Test when its running and test when it will not start and compare readings. My guess right now is either the throttle position sensor , map sensor or idle air control valve has a problem, but even if it was mine, I would not replace anything without testing.
hi..Should be a Halogen bulb High-low beam combo maybe.
As you are looking down at the back of the headlight assembly
gently push down on the clip that holds the wiring harness to the
bulb. Now rotate the bulb counter clock wise (left) and then remove
it. Reverse process to install.
check it out..
Thank you for sharing the information on the light bulb. You just saved me money from having to take my 2003 Trailblazer in to have the low beam bulb replaced. I did exactly what you said.
1 Open hood and lock.
2. Take filter cover off (4 screws and they stay with the filter).
3. 3 inch cover pulls off.
4. Twist light bulb 1/8 turn.
5. Unclip the wiring harness to light bulb assembly.
6. Test by turning light switch on.
7. Align assembly with light housing and turn 1/8 until it snaps in.
8. Put 3 inch cover back on.
9. Place filter cover back on and hand tight the 4 screws.
10. Close hood.
