Question about 2000 Chrysler Sebring
I hear a loud hum on the right front side that is louder when i turn, after being unbearable a mechanic said 475 to replace the hub/bearing. i have the part, but how hard is it to replace?
more info: after raising the car i realized i could move the wheel in and out, so is it really the hub?
Yes it is. When the hub and bearing assy fails it will allow for excessive runout(in and out). This is what generates the noise. Not too bad to replace id you are somewhat mechanically inclined.
