Question about 2004 Pontiac Grand Am

1 Answer

I have a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am GT 3.4L V6, I have two problems, the first one is that my horn, and my cruise control do not work and do not light up in the least. My second is that the light inside the shifter display and the light which illuminates the license plate do not work and the bulbs are not blown, I have changed them several times.

I got the lights working today. Turns out that all of the bulbs that I had bought were blown already, so that fixes that problem. However, I still am quite unsure about the reasoning for the cruise control and horn not

Try checking your fuses, you may have a blown one. If the problem reoccurs, or it isn't the fuse, then you more than likely have a short somewhere, where you will need to spend up to several hours with a test light.

I have an 04 Caravan 3.3L V6 Vin code "R". The airbag light came on intermittently then finally stayed on. Also about the same time, the horn and cruise control quit working. Are they related somehow?

Its the clock spring under your steering wheel its normally under warranty by the dealer its a recall should be no charge at all for them to check it and replace it

Rpms jumping

Hi, I had the same problem, the car kept accelrating and the RPM needle kept jumping, I turned off the cruise control and I had no problem after that. I do however have problems with my cruise control as I do other electrical issues. Anyhow, I believe this would fix your problem. Please let me know what happens:)
