Question about 1997 Ford Expedition
The driver side window has fell off track and i need to know what to do to fix it. Starting with taking off the door panel where are the screws? also if anyone knows of a FREE repair/service manual that would be great!! thank you!
The only screws holding the door panel are the ones holding the armrest in place. You may find them under the armrest. Remove them. and then using either a trim stick or a small scraper or screw driver, feel around the edges of the door panel for the clips that are holding it in. If you use a screwdriver, use a pair of them as this will give you an even pull since you will put one on each side of the clip and then pull outward. Use a moderate tug to get them loose, not pulling too hard. I prefer to work from the bottom up to the top. Once you have that loose, you will need to get hold of the glass and walk it back into the track. Probably best to have a helper to hold onto it in case you find you need a tool that is not within reach.
Hope this helps.
