When this happen my temperature indicator would be unstable, most times if i switch it off and on would work fine, sometimes i have to unplug my battery and fix it back before it starts working.
Hello
The engine
and automatic transmission in this vehicles drive train
are fully electronically controlled by a computer called the PCM
(Power Train Control Module). Whenever a problem like this occurs the
computer stores a record of the problem (there are of course some
exceptions to this, like the fuel pump, engine coolant temperature
sensor and MAF sensor for instance) in the form of a fault code in
its memory, to read these fault codes you must have the systems
memory scanned with a special tool. Once the fault code(s) are read
you then must perform the appropriate diagnostic testing to find and
resolve the problem(s) DO NOT REPLACE ANY PARTS UNTIL A
TRAINED TECHNICAIN HAS DIAGNOSED THE PROBLEM TO AVOID SPENDING YOUR
HARD EARNED MONEY ON PARTS THAT MAY NOT CORRECT THE PROBLEM

check the fuel filter and when was the last time you had a tranny service done and a tune up also check the drivebelt
SOURCE: Toyota Camry 1994 No ignition think it may be alarm
disconnect the alarm system from under the dash.battery to starter direct will turn the engine over fine but ignition system still runs through your alarm system. It's also a theft prevent system so your car will not be stolen. The alarm went bad preventing your car from starting. That means putting the ignition wiring back to factory.
SOURCE: toyota camry will not start. Battery is working
If your alternator was bad the car would not stay running and you would stall .put a battery in it not the expensive alternator!
SOURCE: Toyota Camry idles then dies
It is NORMAL for the engine computer to have to "Relearn" how to idle the engine after a battery replacement. This should only be temporary and will go away after a few trips.
If it does not go away, or if the Check Engine light is coming on, it will require diagnosis to determine the cause. Nobody can tell you if the problem is related to your recent work until the cause of the problem is located.
Poor idling and stalling on deceleration can be caused by anything from a bad Idle Speed Control motor (ISC)
to low fuel pressure (Clogged fuel filter, bad fuel pump) to a bad connection in the A/C clutch sensing circuit. (Kicks the idle up when the A/C compressor is running)

Check the alternator, it may not be charging or blown fuses near battery
