If that is your only code it is hard for me to be 100% here . But the most common fix i have done for this code is replace the electricial part of the ignition switch ( not the key cylinder) they get corrosion internally and drop the voltage going to the PCM. I normally get other codes too but the switch is the most common fix for that code and it not that much for the part and easy to change

DTC P1683 - Driver 5 Line 3

The "P" implies Powertrain, but I understand this code to relate to your vehicle's computer which is unable to boot up properly as a result of being unable to read certain data. This may be from a faulty PCM, or low voltage to the unit. I would check both, and ensure you check the ignition as several things validate voltage from there.

My 2008 Honda ridgeline was stalling when I took my foot off the gas . I had 4 codes on the reader. 2-P2176, P1683 & P2A03 After erasing the codes it seams to be running ok.
beside erasing the codes, did you look for a vacuum leaks or check to see if the throttle body is dirty?

This code is a processor error code indicating a problem with teh PCM.
Most likely you will need to replace the pcm. Factory warranty (if it applies) is 8 years 80,000 miles.
