Question about 2004 Land Rover FreeLander

My 2004 Freelander directional lights do not work...flashers work

When I use the turn signal switch the flasher unit just makes a weak buzzing sound and the traction control and SRS lights come on...but no directional lights. The flashers do work and I even swapped out the flasher relay unit to no avail.

Mine does the same thing! I haven't had signals in a year! I have replaced the switch twice and and all works well for a few miles then the "buzzing" returns. My mechanic is perplexed and he is VERY talented (he didn't even charge me labor ~ he was so upset!) Now my check engine light is on. My seatbelt light comes on occasionally ~ will stay on for a while then go off. Same situation with my airbag and antilock brake lights!

Turn signals and flashers

The flasher itself is toast. It’s mounted in the in cab fuse box. Looks like a small cylinder, usually silver metal or black plastic. Pop over to a parts store, usually about 5 bucks.

The flasher unit is located under the dash, near the steering column. This could also be caused by a faulty ground wire. Check the wiring for broken, bare, or loose wires or connections.

2005 Impala, directional signals inoperative. Flashers are working. Replaced the hazard warning switch. Still no directional signals, hazards work. Now, car will not start.Buzzing sound from hazard sw

There is a good possibility that the hazard warning and directional signal lights have nothing to do with the starting or operation of the engine. There are many things that might cause the car to fail to start. The battery must be fully charged, and in good working condition. No corrosion on the terminals. good solid connections. When you turn the key the starter motor should turn the engine over. If that works the carburetor will need gas. If you have gas and spark, the engine should run. Hope that helps.
Turn signals work with the tail lights and parking lights on the front. You should turn on the Head lights and check to see if the tail lights and parking lights come on. You will also want to check to see if the flasher is plugged in. All the light bulbs must be plugged in and working to operate the flasher for the turn signals. good luck

My turn singal wont come on an its makes noise when I do turn it on a 99 durango 4x4

The noise you here may be a bad flasher, sometimes you hear a buzzing sound.I have found that a lot of dodge, jeep and Chrysler have a problem with aftermarket flashers.Sometimes the flasher will go bad and not work or make noise. If you like you can go to an auto parts store and try the flasher they sell, if you have a problem still then try a dealer flasher.See if the 4 way flashers work, or try to put signal on and gentle move the signal switch arm up , or down and see if the signal starts to work. if it does then you have a bad signal switch, also called a multi-function switch. let me know the out come, good day.

Turn signals will not work correctly. Click a few times, & then quit working, lots of out of rhythm "clicking", & then stop working. Emergency flashers work with no problem

The turn signals and the emergency lights work on two separate flashers, it sounds like the signal flasher is weak and should be replaced.
