Timing marks are in the circles. Make sure belt is tight on right side when marks are aligned, then release tensionser to take up slack on the left side. Thanks for using fixya.

On the 2L (4 cylinder) engine it is recommended to inspect the belt at 37200 miles and replace the belt at 56000 miles.
On the 2.7L (V6) it is recommended to replace the belt at 60000 miles.
And, both these engines are interference engines (meaning if they break a belt, pistons hit and bend valves) which is not a pretty sight...

DID THE BELT BREAK AND THEN IT WAS CHANGED. If so then you may have bent valve. IF NOT then vehicle may be timed wrong. You change it like you'd change any headlamp bulb. There is an access cap behind the headlamp assembly -- remove it, then remove the connector to the bulb, then remove the retaining clip/spring holding the bulb in place. Then install/insert the new bulb in the same 'ORIENTATION' as the old one. Reinstall in reverse order... ALAKAZAM!... .done!
