the sound was very minimal and seemed to come from the rear of the car. there was no difference in the way the engine ran (possibly a little less pickup) and the vibration is more in the front and is like a hum no difference in steering or suspension

If you can, describe the noise you heard, and if you think it came from the front, side or back of the car, and any other changes when this happened. The vibration, does it seem like it's more in the front? or rear? was there a difference with the steering/suspension? does the vibration sound like a growl, or a hum? This may help me help you if you can give me some more details

    Thanks!

The only thing i can think of right now is something like an engine mount. Sometimes when they go the engine dropps slightly enough for it to vibrate on the subframe or body. All i can think of off hand, hope it helps get you somewhere

the cars tires and wheels are just like music instrument
they have resonant frequencies.
so SPEED changes that.
no man on earth blinded by internet can help you.
we can guess. but why do that, you then spend a fortune on useless parts.
ever heard of a mechanic, and ASE mech can fix this easy.

the factory FSM has a chapter on that , why not read that.>?

in my small town 250k we have a suspension shop
they can find any noise, and any vibration.
let them! and btw 2 some tests are very dangerous.
btw3, they do have on car tire balance, this finds other problems.

they might charge $100 to find the reason.
is that too much, or is buying $1000 in parts not needed ,better.
for sure i can find it , but for sure, not here.

My 1996 Chevy Suburban is experiencing low, intermittent noise and vibration that can be felt through the steering wheel and seats. This only occurs at 50 to 55mph and not constant like an unbalanced

possible wheel bearing at fault. if it heard/felt more when turning or swerving and is a growling type noise, more than likley is. possible bad tire shouldnt be over looked. is abs light on? most often when wheel bearing is bad a speed sensor ( within wheel bearing ) will go open, setting abs light. vehicle needs to be ran on a hoist to try and duplicate noise/vibration.

2003 envoy, low speed harmonic vibration in front end

hello have u rotated the tires front to rear then drive and see if u still have the noise and vibration if drive yes while driving slowely turn the steering wheel left to right just a small amount if the noise changes its probably a front wheel bearing if that doesn.t help drive the truck till you get the vibration then let up on the gas pedal does the noise go away if so you might have a bad u_joint but do the tires first how many miles???????
