Do you mean that it acts like it go's from 1st to overdrive and won't downshift?
Is the OD on/off light flashing?

Could be one or both shift solenoids. It's a known problem at 140K or so. They're fairly easy to get to,buy pan gasket, drain tranny, pull pan, walah! Even have different color wires so you won't mix em up. Might try cleaning them up and blowing them out with compressed air before buying new ones.(sometimes that'll get another 10K out of em.)

1987 CAMARY SOME TIME STARTING OUT FILLS LIKE IN REAL LOW GEAR BUT AFTER THAT IT IS FINE

I suggest that you take it to a professional , if after running the car it runs fine, it could be very well the transmission. You can also check when you start the car, if it takes too long to start, then you better have the timing belt check. But it's hard to pinpoint the problem without looking at it.

We have a 1987 ford bronco full size 4 wheel drive , it was running fine we start it up runs fine then we drive it and it dies wont start again then while running ~ we replaced coil it is still doibg the...

Need to find out if it has a loss of spark or fuel when it dies.
Did you replace the coil because it had a loss of spark? Could be the ignition module. Auto Zones can test those for free.

Or is there a loss of fuel or low fuel pressure. Could be a weak/going out pump or a problem in its circuit.

1987 toyota camry was running wont start, will not crank, replaced starter twice in the last six months thinking that was the problem

Try moving gear lever from park to neutral then starting, if does not start check starter relay, solenoid or ignition switch, contacts could be worn

I just replaced the fuel pump on my 1987 toyota camry and it is still not delivering gas to start the vehicle can it be the fuel pump relay?

You bet.

Also check the timing belt. If the distributor is not turing the fuel pump also will not run.

Hope this tip helps.

Getting weak fire to the plugs. Why? Won't start

weak spark is generally from a failing coil, or low voltage to coil (should be 12v on suply side)
