Question about 1999 Volkswagen Golf
I have a VW Golf Mark 4(1999) How do i take off the passenger side door panel? i took the screws(two) from the bottom of the door pocket out but still can't take the panel off? is there a hidden screw somewhere?
My window wont wind down or up.
I think its come off the motor.
Hello, I'll try guiding you through a possible remidy. Is there a round plastic dot or a cover behind the door opener/pull catch you may have to carefully prise it off to reveal a screw. the door handle has hidden screws too? usually one at the top (Possibly hidden again behind blank cover) look under the arm rest of the handle there maybe 1 or 2 hiding. Have you a rod that goes up and down when door is open or closed? if so unscrew/twist the plastic shaft that goes down behind the door card.
The card itself has push in hidden plastic clips all the way around its circumference/outside edge, these are fragile you'll need to prise the card away gently, if you break a few they're easily available eBay for pennies. Hopefully that should get you almost there but be sure to keep looking for mysterious hidden screws on the way through.
Good Luck and A Merry Christmas.
