Your hydrolic clutch fluid resivor is usualy located next to your master cyllender, where you put your brake fluid in. It is usualy a small round plastic container with a screw cap on it located near the master.
Good luck

My clutch pedal goes to the floor and will not pop back up. And I can't find the reservoir to check the fluid

  • The clutch sticking is going to be a slave cylinder or the clutch master cylinder.
  • The clutch master cylinder will be clear in the back under the hood by the firewall. It looks just like the brake master cylinder and is not far from it either.
  • After you add fluid and fix the problem make sure to bleed the clutch lines just like you would brakes. The bleeder valve is located by the slave cylinder. (see picture)

hi, i'm pretty sure that you do have a combo brake/clutch system on the same reservoir. sounds like the brake fluid is low, when you take turns and the brake light goes on, that usually means low fluid sloshing away from internal reservoir sensor. audi and vw take DOT 4 brake fluid only, not DOT 3. You should fill to max level on the brake reservoir(located in front of the drivers seat/steering wheel in the engine compartment) and yes, take it to a professional shop, there maybe other problems in the brake/clutch system in need of inspection. hope i could help.

Where do you put clutch fluid in - in a 2001 Kia Sportage

Under the hood next to the brake reservoir, is a smaller fluid tank with brake fluid in it. It is the clutch master cyl. Hope this helps.

I cant get manual car into gear, the clutch is not slipping. Is there a clutch fluid tank that might need topping up.

Check the clutch master cylinder fluid is correct level,
check clutch pressure plate throw-out adjustment is correct.

If clutch master cylinder is down on fluid, you have a leak in the hydraulic system - which must be attended ASAP before it causes complete loss of clutch operation.
