Shannon... go to autozone and buy a couple bottles of gas line antifreeze... it's cheap and likely to fix the problem.

That's low mileage for that old of a car (13 years). Well, first you need to check all the fluids before trying to start it again. Check the wiring and wiring harnesses over carefully for signs of burning or melting of insulation. Since it was running poorly before it stalled, you should run a scan for trouble codes to see if there is any help in troubleshooting what was going on.
If you have performed normal maintenance like spark plugs and air and gas filters, start with checking that gas and spark is getting to the cylinders. A healthy engine only needs gas and spark to run. If you need help, watch videos on YouTube for all manner of repair help.

White smoke and foam in the gas tank indicates antifreeze leaking into the engine somewhere. Do you smell antifreeze? You may have an engine seal leaking, most likely head gasket. It may be affecting the various engine sensors.

Cylinder 1 misfire 2003 chevy impala.. My car started running rough all of a sudden today. like the engine was shaking. took it to auto one said cylinder 1 misfire. what does that mean & what should i...

a number one misfire means that the number one cylinder is no longer working as good as it should or is not working at all. The number one cylinder is on the back side of the engine on the passenger side. 1-3-5 are the three cylinders in the back.

Three basic things can cause a misfire.
1. a bad spark plug wire
2. a bad spark plug.
3. a bad injector.

Remove the sparks plug wire from the spark plug and remove the spark plug. Inspect the inside of the wire and the outside of the plug to see if there is any carbon tracking. it will look like black lightning bolts. If there is any carbon tracking replace the plugs and wires.

Check the spark plug gap. It should be around .060". if its over .080" the plug is worn out.

Check for spark with a spark tester.

the fuel injector is a little trickier.

Start with the things above and let me know what you find and we'll go from there.

My 2004 Chevy Ampala is burning alot of gas what can I do

Any warning lights on? All i can do is give you some ideas: It may need a tune-up (spark plugs/spark plug wires/air filter.I would start with that if you do not have any service engine lights on.

Have a 2001 chevy impala runs great on acceleration but rough on idle engine light is on gas milage is down replaced plugs and wires wondering if i have an issue with the oxygen sensor

your check engine light will give you information that will help solve the problem-get the computer scanned, go to a retail auto parts store, they all do it for nothing. Write down the actual codes, and come back here with the codes, you will get the help you need.

2004 chevy suburban no or very sluggish acceleration when you step on the gas

if you've replaced spark plugs and wires lately, try simply running lucas fuel treatment to your gas, it may be an injector may be clogging or dirty injectors period. if that does'nt work, try replacing the idle control sensor. does it start and die sometimes on it's own? idle rough sometimes? that points to several things, like bad egr valve, is check engine light on?or bad idle control sensor, may be a bad gas cap lid even. if the fuel pressure coming from fuel pump isn't right it will not preform right at all. at least this are some points to look for hope i helped and thanks for choosing fixya.com

Hi,
You might get some gas treatment for your tank. Sometimes bad gas can cause those symptoms.
I would put the treatment in and let it sit overnight. Hopefully the next morning the car will feel better!
I hope this helps... Good luck!

Car wants to start but dies immediately. fuel pressure test bad

Couple of things, the fuel pressure held before with the old regulator but now it doesn't. Are you sure you got the tiny o-ring out when you changed it and installed it on the new one? Is there any fuel in the vacuum line to the regulator? Does the white exhaust smell like fuel or coolant burning?
