Do you like the vehicle? Are you mechanically inclined? Vacuum leaks are sometimes dificult to find. It could be a vacuum hose, a leaking intake or a blown gasket. Spray around the outside of the intake with a carb cleaner spray, look for any change in the engine, when it chages you have found the area of your leak
check air filter change the charcoal canister .scan it to check the map sensor and the vacuum line that goes to it .make sure fuel pressure regulator is working.
OUCH!!! If there was no previous wiring problem, first check that you did not inadvertently ground a hot wire somewhere. Then check the starter & solenoid for internal shorts. (Ive seen some wierd stuff along the way, including a brush assembly that broke and the spring shorted out an entire starting system). Unfortunately, you will have to cut open the wiring harness and replace all burned wiring. Be careful to seperate any fused together wires without breaking them. Use the same gauge wire when repairing, to avoid overheating of new stuff after repair.Wrap wire ends together, then solder all connections. Squeze type junctions do not work all the time. good luck
Place the trans in nuetral then put the transfer case in 2HI.
when you drive on the road always have the transfer case in 2HI UNLESS you have a transfer case that has an alltime 4WD option
