I have a 05 Scion XB We replaced the front left axle because it broke at the nut/bolt on outside of axle. It broke again and we replaced again.

check that the axle you replaced it with is the correct length for that side ( left and right axles are different lenghts)
what you have described indicates that the axle is too short for that side and is coming out of the seal
check for suspension ball joint problems or strut failure that allows the cv joint to be out of position when turning the steering wheel
it may require that the vehicle is repaired by an accredited repairer

Humming noise from front left side

you're on the right track. it sounds like the right wheel bearing is causing the noise.

Humming noise from front left side

I hate to say it, but it sounds like something in the differential - transmission. The part about the noise and coasting fits a differential bearing noise. Making turns could put extra load on the bearings and gears in the transmission.

Grinding noise in driver side front when wheel is turned to right - no noise when wheel is neutral

This may be either a dragging brake shoe or possibly a wheel bearing. The car needs to be taken to a mechanic or one of the national service dealers (Meineke, Midas, Wheel Works, etc.) for a diagnosis before the problem becomes more expensive.

On a hard left turn there is a grinding noise from the driver side front tire. Have done a visual inspection and everything looks fine. No play in wheel bearings. This is a 2005 Scion xb

If its the bearing - there might not be any play..
Bad bearing usually get worse & worse pretty quick..

Shouldnt be the problem on a 05 - but have you looked at the CV joints ?

No i have pulled out the stereo myself and there is no port for it, that option is now offered on the 2008 which sucks because they where giving ipods away at the dealership when i got my 05 Scion xb makes no sense huh.
