This sounds like a vacumn problem to me. I would check all the vacumn system for leaks first, espacially under the dash, most leaks you can hear if you listen cloesly, hope this might help you, if not let me know more info.

It has a valve on the heater hoses on one hose that has a vacuum line running to it check both sides of the hose on each side of the valve if its hot both sides its ok. Then check to see if both hoses are hot this will mean that the water is flowing ok if its not reverse the hoses on the heater core somehow it will flush the core out. If this is all working then its the door on you heater box not closing the air conditioning hole off . It goes through the same vents as heater

Audi a6 heaters not given out hot air

this is more than likely a problem with your thermostat in the cooling system .heres a few things to check to be sure make certain your blower fan is on high and temp setting is in the hottest setting check to see if   air is coming from your heater ducts  also be sure to thoroughly let the engine warm up 10 to 20 minutes  before checking. if the air is blowing but  luke warm still your thermostat is stuck in the open position  and will cause the engine to run to cold and performance will also suffer as will your heat will not be sufficient  to heat the passenger compartment  this repair should cost no more than $150 max to replace buy a repair shop    this is a  common problem in older cars and this is generally   a quick  repair to be made  for almost any repair facility  should take under 45 minutes to complete once repair is started

2001 tahoe front heater not working, rear heater blows warm air

Notorious for plugged heater cores. Also updated plastic restriction couplers mounted at heater core available from dealer. Try back flushing heater core. Run engine till its at operating temperature then carefully hold the inlet and outlet hose breifly with heater fan on high if hoses are nearly the same temp then flow is good , if not then core is plugged.

2001 tahoe front heater not working, rear heater blows warm air

I have the same problem with my 2001 Tahoe. The front blower is working, its blowing strong, but its cold air even with the temp setting as high as it can get. The rear blows hot air. The engine temp guage is at about 210ish which is close to being normal (220). I just replaced the thermostate a few months ago, I don't know if its bad again, or it I deluted the antifreeze too much and it frooze the heater core, or if the heater core just went bad. Any one know what the cause could be?

Heater blows cold air

With the car warmed up,feel the heater hoses, are they both warm/hot near the firewall in the engine compartment? If they are both warm/hot,then the heater core should have circulation through it and it may be a "blend door" issue in the heater a/c assembly. If they are not warm/hot then the heater core could be dirty and plugged up and needs to be flushed.
If the above does not help,a drain and vacuum of the cooling system and vacuum refill will remove any trapped air.
Sometimes, clamping off the top rad hose and holding the engine rpm at 2000 rpm will force trapped air out of the heater core.(Watch temp gauge when trying this)
Lastly,a NEW thermostat doesn't mean its working correctly.
