More than likely either the ignition control module, the stator or the pick-up located in the distributor.

I have an 89 toyota pickup, and the other day the battery light came on and the radio and heater wouldn't work. once i shut it off it wouldn't start anymore. I checked the fuses and one of the fuselinks...

You probably have a direct short on one of your high current electrical lines. I would check connections at the battery, alternator, and starter.

Let me know what you find out.

My 89 camry stalled on me and know it wont start.

No clicking mean no power to the solenoid to engage the contact for the starter. If starter is not turning, you will not have spark. It stalled when you drove since not power to turn on the Electronic Fuel injection so you don't have gas. Now you don't have electric to your starter, then I suggest that you have some one to check ECM before starting replacing Starter, Fuel Injection...

1991 Toyota SR5 won't start when the weather is very hot

I checked the gages of the wiring which went into the battery, as suggested by another person on the site, but nothing looked out of place. I then proceeded to check wiring connections throughout the vehicle and found there were 2 sets of wires on the driver's side which were not attached to its counterpart. I remember the mechanics disconnecting those a few years ago, as they stated it was causing the problem. I decided to re-establish the connection for both sets of wires and the truck started immediately with out any further problems.

89 toyota pickup electrical problems

Sounds like you have an intermittent electrical problem. Check your positive battery wire going into your fuse box the connection becomes loose. I have seen 2 or 3 Toyota pickups have the a similar problem. Also check Battery connections and the ground cable.

If your pickup has a loose battery cables and/or wires it can not charge to it full potential no matter how new your alternator or your battery. Try turning on your head lights and wiggling your battery wires if the lights go dim or flicker, chances are that wire is loose or has a bad connection.
