Do you have the orginal air filter ? if not it may of whent there ..was there a screw in it or a plug? most of the time it is in and arround the carb if you have one. look very well arround the area where the hose is ,sometimes this takes 1 to ??? minutes...they always go somewhere look on your distributor too ,I didnt see a year for your truck.

its come of a joint look for a T shape vacuum line and it will be off that if its broken you will need a new T connector. dont cost a lot at all the plastic is so brittle after awhile they just snap or split.

Same chewed red vacuum A/C damper line passenger side. splices to black line above the AC coil box. Removed battery and holder. Loosened A/C dryer mounts from inner fender. Removed fan motor. Toyota93 man,
I have the same problem with my 97 f-250 right now, same engine. I just replaced the booster and it didn't solve the problem. Obviously we are losing the vacuum somewhere. Check your vacuum lines for cracks as that is the cheapest. also the check valve on the booster itself. The vacuum line from the booster goes to a "vacuum tree" "vacuum solenoid"? I dont know, no one can tell me. Not even the ford dealership. but its mounted on top of the wheel well and it has 4 vacuum hoses coming off of it. The largest hose then goes to a vacuum pump on top of the power steering pump. That is my next change. I'll let you know if that fixes it. Let me know if you get an answer.

I have a air line in motor i dont know where it goes connected

With the information given it sounds like a loose vacuum line. Look for a vacuum connector nipple and plug the line to it if you find a bare one. If the vehicle is running (idling) with no problems and you are satisfied with it then screw it - technically screw it. Take a small sheet metal screw and screw it into the end of the vacuum line and at a later date have a mechanic trace it down and reconnect.

I cant put my 98 2.5 ranger vacuum lines back

From what I remember, the vacuum lines under there are shaped hard plastic so it should be pretty easy to figure out where they go on the vacuum ball that's hidden in the fender. You'll know you've connected them all when your heater isn't "stuck" on defrost.
Good luck!
