Re: how do i enter the radio code on my acura rsx
When you turn on the radio and it says code, you need to press the station presets.according to you code. If you try to enter the code too many times and it says error, then you need to disconnect the battery and let it sit for about 10 minutes for the radio to clear and then reconnect the battery, When the radio says code try again. If that still fails you may have to visit your dealer to have him look into the problem.

You need to re-enter the security code into the factory radio to get it to stop. It should be inside the book that came with the car... if not, no worries, call the Acura dealer and they will tell at no charge!
Here is how it has to be done without costing you a bunch ofmoney- Every time the battery is disconnected this has to be done:If you have jumped or replaced the battery at anytime this will happen. You have to get the serial number off the radio by removing it or partially taking it out to see the numbers on it try not to remove any cords. With the stereo out (to make sure you get the right number off of it) call an Acura dealership with the number and they will give you the another number to enter into the stereo and directions on how to punch the numbers in. Make sure while you have the stereo out you write the serial number down and keep it in a safe place also the number that the Acura dealership gives you because if you sell the car or if it happens again its easily accessible. Good Luck!

If you can provide the necessary information then your ACURA code is
available here for free
If not then the code will only
be available from your local Honda Dealer or a Decoding Service ...who will
plug in a laptop to read/recode your memory chip (EEPROM)
The dealer can help you. No one here is going to give you a code for a possibly stolen radio and the dealer will not do it over the phone. That is my experience with BMW. They need to make sure you actually own the radio or the whole security scheme is invalid.
Take the VIN number to the Honda dealer and they can give you the radio code and tell you how to enter it. This will always happen when you disconnect the battery. Keep the code safe so if you have to do it again you won't have to go to the dealer. They should give you the dode for free.
